PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO’s)

Inspired by the University and College Vision/Mission and Core Values, the College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics commits to produce B.S. Criminology graduates who;

  1. Become Licensed Criminologist;
  2. Are prepared to engage in the practice of Criminology profession in the field of law enforcement, correctional administration, criminal Jurisprudence, criminalistics, and as an academician;
  3. Become upright individuals and practitioners who practice their profession with integrity;
  4. Engage in continuing professional development for advancement of their career in Criminology.
  5. appreciate and value “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” and uphold constitutional and statutory guarantees.
  6. apply knowledge essential to the conduct of criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior;
  7. apply knowledge, skills essential to the practice of crime detection and investigation and fields of criminalistics;
  8. apply knowledge, skills in criminal law, evidence and procedure;
  9. apply knowledge, skills in law enforcement administration;

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES (SLO’s)

The students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of law enforcement, law, and correction system as it relates to the operation of the criminal justice system.
  2. Apply academic knowledge in the practice of criminal justice profession.
  3. Exhibit analytical reasoning skills through a familiarity with criminological theory and research as applied to crime prevention.
  4. Execute forensic science and contemporary investigative skills and technique for the practice of criminal justice profession.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods for conducting and analyzing ethical criminal justice research.
  6. Apply communication skills in writing, speaking, and other forms of communication.
  7. Articulate ethical implications of decision making in a professional capacity.
  8. Practice camaraderie in the practice of profession.
  9. Cultivate a sense of self-awareness through identifying a leadership vision, mission, style and values.
  10. Exhibit awareness and commitment towards effective citizenship and social responsibility.
  11. Adhere to the requirement to engage in continuing professional development.
  12. Demonstrate investigative tools necessary in the practice of profession.
