KANSAI UNIVERSITY COLLABORATES WITH HAU ON 2014 PHILIPPINE CHILDREN’S PROJECT

The University hosted a delegation of ten students from Kansai University (KU), Osaka, Japan from August 11-15, 2014 for a student volunteerism and interaction program in connection with the 2014 Philippine Children’s Project.


The visiting Japanese university delegation was headed by Dr. Toshihiro Sawayama, KU professor of Public Policy, Division of International Affairs.


Ten Holy Angel Travel Services (HATS) interns interacted with the visiting students throughout the event which included a campus tour, cultural exchange, student fellowship, and collaboration on science experiment presentations to pupils at Cutcut Elementary School.


Five Japanese public school teachers and a Filipino coordinator joined KU and HAU students and provided assistance in the five-day program.


This is the third consecutive year that the University has collaborated with KU on this project.


KU and HAU also took time out from the activities to thresh out the details of the international academic cooperation between the two universities, which included a proposal for graduate and undergraduate student exchange.
