TESTIMONIAL DINNER FOR THE NEW CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS (CPAs)

On behalf of the University President, Engr. Geromin T. Nepomuceno, Jr., I welcome one and all to this Testimonial Dinner in honor of our new Angelite certified public accountants (CPAs).

To you, our new CPAs, accept my heartfelt congratulations for a job well done. By passing the Board examination, you have proven that you are cut above the rest. You have passed the scrutiny of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), attesting to the fact that your knowledge, skills and attitudes are at par with the standards set by the government to regulate the proper and ethical practice of the accounting profession.

As you set your foot to the world of work, may your education here in Holy Angel serve as your guide in successfully facing all the tests, trials and challenges that will come your way. The bigger world outside is not as kind, hospitable, structured and orderly as the world we have inside the campus. Outside, you will find people from all walks of life ─ some good, some not so good; some idealistic, some pragmatic; some optimistic, and some pessimistic. My advice to you is to focus on what is right, what is true, what is noble, and what is good. Despite its sporadic ugliness, ours is still a beautiful world where young people like you can grow, make a difference, enjoy and live life to its fullest.

I join your parents, guardians and former instructors who are here today to celebrate your grand achievement. Fathers and mothers, your sacrifices have paid off. You have sown, and now you reap. Truly, it is harvest time for you. Congratulations.

Above all, let us give back all the glory, praises and honor to the good LORD, without whom all of these victories could not have been made possible. May your professional and personal lives magnify him, never forgetting to concretize our University motto of “Laus Deo semper” ─ always praising God in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments of your life.

Again, congratulations; keep the fire burning.

Thank you.
