HAU conducts English course for, signs MOU with Kyung-In Women’s University

A pioneer batch of 26 students from Kyung-In Women’s University (KIWU) of Incheon, Korea completed a Four-Week English Language Course at the University from July 6 to July 31, 2015.


Aside from the basic English as a Second Language (ESL) course, the students undertookan array of applied activities meant to supplement and reinforce language learning, such as immersion in a regular college English class, one-on-one conversation sessions with HAU student-buddies, seminar-workshops, speech festival, film viewing, and educational tours in Clark Freeport Zone and Manila.


The Korean students also interacted with AB Communication students who belonged to the HAU Communicators’ League and shared their musical talents with Apl. De Ap. Studio band members.


Dr. Youngil Kim, KIWU Deputy Director of International Education Center, accompanied the studentsthroughout their month-long program.


The University also formalized its relations with KIWU with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo and Dr. Hwa-Soon Ryoo ,HAU president and KIWU president, respectively, through an exchange of signatures on the document. The MOU is effective for a period of five years starting July 11, 2015.
