HAU hosts PTC Accreditation System Seminar for Region 3 engineering schools

The College of Engineering & Architecture (CEA) co-sponsored an Orientation Seminar on Philippine Technological Council (PTC) Accreditation System for engineering schools in the region together with the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools (PAES). The said event was held last 12 January at the HAU Peter G. Nepomuceno (PGN)Professional School Building. The speakers from Mapúa Institute of Technology and Technological Institute of the Philippines (PTC- and ABET-accredited schools) shared their valuable insights and unforgettable memories and experiences regarding the journey they went through during the whole accreditation process. Dr. Bonifacio Doma, Mapua Vice President and PAES President, and Dr. Rance Magnaye, TIP Dean and PAES Treasurer, walked the participants through the processes involved in and the various criteria of the PTC accreditation system, as well as practical tips on how to go about applying and getting an accredited status.


The affair was participated in by the Deans and Program Chairs of the following engineering schools in Region 3:


  • Angeles University Foundation
  • Baliuag University
  • Bulacan State University
  • Columban College
  • Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University
  • Holy Angel University
  • Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology
  • Wesleyan University

During the open forum, each participating school was given the opportunity to ask questions and make some clarifications. Dr. Maria Doris C. Bacamante, the dean of HAU-CEA, acted as moderator.
