HAU-CEA LAUNCHES PROGRAM ADVISORY COUNCILS

The 1st General Assembly of the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Program Advisory Councils (PACs) was held last 18 January at PGN-505 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.


The Councils were created to serve as "idea engines" for continuing the quality improvement of the various programs of the College of Engineering and Architecture of Holy Angel University (HAU). Each program has its own council comprised of the CEA Dean, the Program Chairperson, officer of the professional society, industry leader/practitioner, alumni, faculty member, and student.


HAU President, Dr. Luis Maria Calingo, who graced the occasion, presented the newly-revised University Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives (U-VMGOs) and the newly-formulated Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs) on which the different Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and Program Student Outcomes (SOs) have been constructively aligned. After the presentation of the proposed HAU-CEA OBE Implementation Framework, PEOs and SOs, parallel sessions have been held for the following:


  • Review and Design of HAU-CEA OBE Implementation Framework
  • Review of Consistency/Alignment of PEOs with U-VMGOs
  • Review of Consistency/Alignment of SOs with U-VMGOs/ISLOs, PEOs and the standards of ABET, PTC and CHED
  • Presentation of proposed Eng'g Tech Curricula

  • The session ended with a dinner and presentation of tokens of appreciation to PAC members.
