Holy Angel University, Department of Tourism launch Food Truck Fest 2016

ANGELES CITY—Food trucks find their way to the grounds of Holy Angel University (HAU) to offer a new food trip experience to the public as the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), Department of Tourism Region 3, and Angeles City Tourism Office host the first-ever Food Truck Fest in Central Luzon this April 29 and 30. The university’s gates are open from 3 PM to 9 PM to welcome everyone in this free admission dates.

A variety of delectable food choices from finger foods, pastas, rice meals and desserts topped with a mini concert are expected to give everyone a perfect way to end a stressful week. Performances from invited celebrity host, bands, comedians, personalities, DJs and other local artist are lined up to amuse everyone while chomping crispy fried chicken wings or licking a cone of ice cream. Alternative food choices from selected food carts from in and out of the province are also available to satisfy everybody’s craving for delicious food and drinks.

In time for Angeles City's celebration of the 'Flavors of the Philippines Month', this event is one of the sizzling entrees to be served on our tables. Having a fresh take on contemporary food service concepts, food truck business has become one of the latest trends in the Philippine hospitality and tourism industry. With its growing popularity, the university spearheads the said event to introduce this new food service concept to Central Luzon and to expand its market reach. This is also expected to stimulate entrepreneurial activities or partnerships and to foster an environment for social interaction and exchanges of information on the exciting and ever-changing landscape of hospitality and tourism.

This collaboration between the Holy Angel University and the various stakeholders envisions to offer a unique gastronomic experience to the attendees and to affirm Pampanga's claim as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines.

All the updates and the countdown to this most-awaited event are posted on the Facebook page HAU-CHTM's official events team named Aslag. Keep your eyes on the road and be sure to make way because these food trucks are on their way.
