GSB FACULTY AND STAKEHOLDERS HOLD ASSEMBLY

Dr. Joan C. Reyes, Dean of the Graduate School of Business (GSB) of Holy Angel University, spearheaded the conduct of a Faculty Meeting and Stakeholders' Assembly on February 11, 2017 at the PGN Building. With 32 participants coming from the faculty, students, alumni, staff, and employers, the group discussed and worked on matters pertaining to the GSB preparations for the upcoming PACUCOA accreditation of its DBM and MBM programs, alignment and revisions of the GSB syllabi with the HAU and GSB’s Vision-Mission-Goals and Objectives (VMGO), orientation on the DBM and MBM Program Learning Outcomes and other relevant issues concerning GSB.


Dr. Reyes conducted a brief orientation on the PACUCOA accreditation system, the required reports, and the formation of committees for accreditation. Dr. Reyes presented Dr. Calingo's slides on "The Catholic Intellectual Tradition at HAU " then discussed the revision process made by the GSB administration in the DBM and MBM curricula. Lastly, Dr. Reyes reiterated the importance of the DBM and MBM Program Learning Outcomes to the participants. Stakeholders’ participation in the preparation of the PACUCOA report ensued. The stakeholders were grouped into eight committees. The committees were clustered in accordance with the eight PACUCOA survey areas namely: (1) Philosophy and Objectives; (2) Faculty; (3) Curriculum and Instruction; (4) Research; (5) Students; (6) Library; (7) Administration; and (8) Other Resources. The committee members reviewed and rated the items in the survey areas assigned to them and correspondingly provided justifications for their ratings.


The emerging result of the activity was a 360˚-accomplished GSB Self-survey PACUCOA forms for the DBM and MBM programs, respectively.
