HAU’s Success on Another Academic Reorganization

Holy Angel University President Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo recently announced the Vertical Articulation about the Academic Reorganization for two programs that will take effect on August 1, 2017. His message is as follows:

“I am pleased to announce that the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) and the College of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS) are hereby renamed the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) and the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS). This vertical articulation is being made at the request of the respective College Deans and the recommendation of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

In a vertically articulated School, the School Dean exercises administrative supervision of both undergraduate and graduate programs, including curriculum, instruction, research and creative activities, extension, budgets, and faculty matters.

The School Dean, in turn, delegates faculty supervision and stewardship of program curricula and budgets to the appropriate undergraduate program chair(s) and graduate program coordinator.

The Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, concurrently the Vice President for Academic Affairs, provides oversight to all graduate programs to ensure their continuing focus on quality improvement and student-centered learning.

The Dean of Graduate Studies and Research also supervises the graduate program coordinator of the College of Information &Communications Technology and the coordinator of interdisciplinary graduate programs (currently, the Professional Science Master’s in Cybersecurity).

Laus Deo Semper!”
