COMM STUDENT’S WORK QUALIFIED FOR THE 1ST PHILLIPINE STUDENT QUILL AWARDS

The documentary of Kelvin Aguilar (3rd Year Communication Arts student) entitled “Yagit” qualified for the 1st Student Quill Awards. Aguilar submitted his work to the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) which aims to recognize young talents, rewards excellence and showcases the best communication work from university students around the country.

The Philippine Quill is the country’s most prestigious and relevant award for business communicators. It is given annually by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines or IABC Philippines.

This year, they are spearheading the 1st Student Quill Awards for students (universities around the Philippines) who made a work which created an impact to the society.

The documentary of Aguilar dealt with a child who sells pandesal just to send himself to school. It also talks about the struggles of his family just to make both ends meet.

Dr. Marga B. Carreon (Dean, CASEd) welcomed this development as a good opportunity for the COMM students to showcase their skills in documentary making.

The entire college supports this endeavor of Aguilar and wishes him the best on the Awarding.
