HAU Holds English Language Courses for International Students

Holy Angel University conducted a Two-Month English Language Course for 19 international students totaling 160 hours from April 10, 2013 to May 28, 2013.


The course was conducted to prepare Korean, Japanese, Thai and Chinese students who will proceed to enroll in the academic programs at the secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels of the University as well as in the school’s Non-Credit Program.


The students, who comprised the ninth batch to enroll in the course, were divided into two classes in accordance with their English proficiency.


During the Graduation and Closing Program held at Casa Nena on the last day of the course, SiyiZuo (Cindy) and PunnavichSuebjakdee (Tai) were named Outstanding Students in the Pre-Intermediate Level while Dae-In Park (Dane) was named the best in the Intermediate Level.


Prof. Robert P. Tantingco, Vice-President for External Affairs and Corporate Communications, delivered an inspirational speech and presented the Certificate of Completion to each of the graduating students.


The University also provided an 80-Hour English Language Course on a one-on-one mentoring basis to fiveinternational students and professionals who are interested in taking up further studies in the University, either as degree students or as Non-Credit Program enrollees. The students, Jeounghwan Lee (Philip), Jiayue Wu (Caleb), Woo BeomJeong (Bee), JarusraveeSriseree (Moss) and Jungmin Yoon (Joanna), completed their respective modules by the end of June 2013.


Before this, the University administered a 60-Hour English Language Course to its pioneer one-on-one student, Sangkeun Lee (Anthony), who finished his course in April 2013. He is currently enrolled this semester under the Non-Credit Program.
