HAU, Bags 2nd place in COMGUID Awards

February 9, 2014 – Holy Angel University’s entry for the 2014 Commercial Teaser Contest in the 5th Annual Conference of Advertising, Marketing and Business Administration Students of the Philippines won 2nd place held at AFP Theater, Quezon City.


Aira Domingo, Javed Fogata, Sarah Licup and Lady Feliciano were among the 4th year management students who led the team in conceptualizing the story board and other concerns in the production of the teaser. Head coach, Robert Quizon initiated the said participation in the contest and was responsible for the pooling of delegates. Eleven [11] selected 3rd year students from Marketing and Business Management courses were also part of the team., they were; Danica Casem, Jan Joseph Delfin, Joe Anne Sanchez, Joefferson Lacanlale, Malissa Ancajas, Riza Flores, Jethro Dimaranan, Jermaine Sigua, Allysa Belen, and Ruskee David. This academic year is also HAU’s second time to participate in the contest.


The TV teaser is supposed to highlight the facilities of the school and what best it can offer. It should also meet the theme of the conference which is “Creating Impact that Empowers Good Attitude,”with a duration time of 60 seconds. There were a total of 17 participating universities in the said contest coming from different provinces and cities.The Top 3 winners of the TV Teaser Contest were; Lyceum of the Philippines - 1stPlace, Holy Angel University – 2nd Place and Our Lady of La Salette - 3rd place The conference was hosted by Steve Dailisan and Rida Reyes, GMA News correspondents. Six speakers from various renowned advertising and business firms completed the said conference. COMGUILD also awarded the Best Entrepreneurial show and hosts which culminated the event.


COMGUILD Center for Journalism is an award-giving body that recognizes the exemplary work of local broadcasters and News presenters. It also organizes various symposia that aimed to exposed students on the industry trends on fields like marketing and broadcast journalism.
